SGG Improvements and Requests

Allows for more intuitive ordering for Advanced Progressions tournaments and tournaments with multiple phases.

PLEASE allow a 4-player bracket option for games (ex: Super Mario Party, Mario Kart, Mario Maker 2)

This could be a fastest time in a Mario Kart time trial, or a number of headshots in 2 minutes, or a high score on a pinball game. The specific instance I ran into was players playing NBA 2k trying to score most 3 pointers in a 1v1 game. I'd like the option to specify a unit (score, time, etc) as well as ascending or descending order, and to allow an average of multiple values. For instance, doing an event for Home Run Contest in smash and allowing each player to have 3 tries and to average the 3 scores to get their final score on which their placement is based. You could even add features like "drop highest and lowest" to get a better average of say, 5 scores.

Allow double round robin aka each player/team plays each other play/team in a round robin twice

Occasionally when printing brackets, tags will be cut off because they're super long or because there's a long prefix. It would be good to have an option to hide the prefixes or seed numbers, or to make the font smaller, when printing brackets so that the full tag is visible.

For the sake of calculating prizes by TOs when on-site payment is an option for early registration, it is important to know how many such players were DQ'd and either never paid or were refunded. This type of statistic is not currently easily available through smash gg, requiring manually viewing each bracket in an event and counting by hand. If an event is large, this can be a time-consuming and error-prone process. To fix this, simply make the number of players DQ'd easily available to TOs. It may also be worthwhile to have a filter option under the matches view for an event, so that all matches affected by DQ's can be viewed at once.

Implement a for TOs to be able to perform seeding on a mobile device, since currently it is not possible to drag and drop players on mobile.

Right now this functionality is entirely dependent on having smash.gg staff online and present. Even when set up in advance, last minute adjustments are often necessary and impossible.

Drag and drop seeding really sucks for mobile, and for my computer. Sometimes, it doesn't even work for either device. Adding up/down arrows would be so much more helpful and easier.

Currently, the tournament start/end times that you can set in the details section of a tournament do not display anywhere on the tournament page, but they should! It would make sense to display those times somewhere near the tournament dates.
